I live in Benton, Ar with my wife and several animals. I currently work at a furniture store that is able to accommodate odd college hours. My major is General Biology, but my classes are mostly dictated by trying to complete pre-matriculates for medical school. One of the things that I am very excited about this semester is doing research with Dr. Goodarzi. This will be my first research experience. This year, 2024, I will be applying to four different medical schools and hope to start in 2025 after completing a Bachelors in Science. My plan is to become a General Surgeon and work my way into Trauma surgery. After earning a D.O. or an M.D. and honing skills in surgery, I hope to further innovate in the area of pre-hospital care, allowing for better patient survival.

I am a current resident of Arkansas, though I am originally from Colorado! I am majoring in Chemistry, thus I enjoy all things Chemistry related, especially biochemical research! My current research focus is in various types of cancer. My goal is to develop a peptide bond to attach to certain genes with the ultimate goal of inducing apoptosis of the tumor cell. Following my undergrad experience, I would like to go to medical school. Formerly I worked as a surgical tech, so on top of Chemistry, I absolutely love surgery! I'd like to use my current and future experiences in the medical field to further help the people around me. My greatest joy in life is helping others. I have a deep-seated sense of commitment and motivation to bettering this world.
